Tips to Generate More Leads from Your Facebook Videos

For a while now I’ve been talking to you about the importance of using video for your Network Marketing business…

Today we are going to take it to the next level but first I wanted to acknowledge a mentor of mine, Kate Mcshae as I get most of my Video tips from her.  I’m a believer in the motto Learn – Grow – Share so here is what I learnt from Kate recently.

It’s all well and good shooting videos or doing Facebook lives but to make them truly powerful you need to know the numbers.

Any successfull marketer will tell you that in any form of advertising knowing your metrics is an all important rule.

The same goes for video marketing on Facebook.

If you aren’t paying attention to the video post metrics on your Fan Page, it’s like you’re posting a video with no purpose whatsoever.

Honestly, you’d be better off just uploading a video of cute, fuzzy kittens like 95% of the rest of people on Facebook do.

However, if you want to grow your audience and utilize Facebook video for brand exposure, engagement, and lead generation then you need to immediately start paying attention to the Insights I’m about to share, which are found in the Admin Panel of your Fan Page.

The Top Insights to focus on…

Once you’ve uploaded a video onto your Facebook Fan Page, just like any other post you create, Facebook will develop insights on how your post is performing.

Click here to access your Insights dashboard…

Then click on Videos to see a list of the videos you’ve shared on your Fan Page…

Then you simply click on the appropriate video to view its detailed stats.

Okay, so now let’s dive into the following 5 Insights to improve your results with video marketing on Facebook…

10 Second Views vs Total Video Views

According to Facebook, a video view is counted after someone watches for just 3 seconds.

That’s it!

Now, think about this…

If your video has ten thousand views, but people are only watching it for 3 seconds, how effective is that video for your business?

It’s probably not generating a bunch of leads and sales, right?

So instead of paying attention to how many total video views you have, start focusing on the “10 Second Views.”

Because someone who sticks around for at least 10 seconds is much more likely to watch the entire video

Average View Duration

Okay, here’s a challenge for you…

Next time you’re on Facebook, track how many seconds you linger on each individual post you see.

I’m willing to bet it’s no longer than 5-10 seconds.

The same is true for video posts.

After tuning into some awesome training from Kate where she was testing and tweaking different styles of videos on her Fan Page, It appears that the average view duration is usually between 15-57 seconds.

So I recommend keeping your videos on the shorter side.

This way you get to the point quick and don’t frighten away potential viewers, because in today’s age, even 5 minutes is a pretty big time commitment!

Auto Play vs Click to Play

The majority of videos on Facebook auto-play without sound until you actually click on them.

However, I’ve learned from Kate and the Insights on my Fan Page that views from Click-to Play users have a longer viewing duration…

Because those visitors proactively took the extra step to click on the video to watch.

There are a few ways which you can use to encourage viewers to click on your videos, which we’ll get to in a moment.

Engagement

Hands down…

The best videos on Facebook create engagement.

People use Facebook to socialize and engage with other users.

So pay attention to the number of likes, shares, and comments you get on your videos.

Just like any other type of post on Facebook, the more engagement, the faster your video goes viral, resulting in free exposure for your business and brand.

And that’s a really good thing!

Okay, now that we’ve discussed the 5 Insights you need to pay attention to, let’s talk about…

Tips to increase your results with video on Facebook

I don’t care who you are…

Successful business owners know there’s always room for improvement.

So regardless of how you feel about your current Insights, below are my 5 top tips to increase engagement and keep people watching your videos.

Remember…

The longer you can keep someone’s attention, the better the chance they’ll take action!

Begin The Verbal Hook Post 5 seconds

Since the majority of Facebook videos auto-play in the News Feed, save your most compelling “hooks” and questions until after the 5 second mark.

So use visual queues within the first 3 seconds to grab and keep their attention.

Because most people will click the volume button between 3-5 seconds.

Add Annotations

Adding text to your videos helps keep people’s attention.

This annotation quadrupled my Average View Duration because it created curiosity!

I use Video Pad Editor but you can use Windows Video Editor just as easily.

So if you know that most people fall off of your videos before 10 seconds…

Add an annotation at the beginning and see if that helps with your viewer retention.

Ask Questions

People love to help others.

And that’s why asking questions that require a response from your viewers will increase the engagement of your post and make your viewers feel more connected to you.

Believe it or not, your audience wants to interact and have a conversation.

However, they often don’t know how to “break the ice.”

So all you need to do is provide a prompt in the form of a few simple questions to get the engagement started.

Command Engagement

Look, here’s the truth…

If you don’t ask, it won’t happen.

So always ask people to Like, Share, and Comment on your videos to increase engagement.

Right now shares and comments are fantastic for increasing the reach of your videos.

But first…

You’ve got to make sure the content in your video is actually valuable, so people will want to share it and add their comments.

Makes sense, right?

Okay, that wraps up the 5 tactics for increasing your results.

Now, here’s the key to this entire process…

No matter what marketing you’re using for your business…

Knowing your numbers is critical

So start paying close attention to the 5 Insights you learned above when you’re using video on Facebook.

Because if you diligently analyze your Insights and keep tweaking and optimizing your videos to create more interaction and engagement…

I know you’ll be excited by your results!

In fact, creating a highly engaged following on Facebook is exactly how Kate Mcshea and her husband generated over 75,000 leads and earned $850,281 online over the past two-and-a-half years.

And i’ve seen a massive increase in my business since I started using video correctly and paying attention to the metrics…

With that said, though…

Simply having an audience doesn’t mean you’ll get wealthy

You’ve also got to know how to effectively monetize your Fans and followers.

Don’t worry, though.

I’m about to break down my entire conversion strategy for you.

Here are 3-step process looks like…

  1. Continuously run a “Likes” campaign to consistently grow your audience
  2. Provide regular value by directing your viewers to a conversion-optimized blog post
  3. “Retarget” everyone who watches your videos or clicks on your posts with a congruent offer to make sales and build your list

Now, I can understand if that seems a bit complex, but here’s the good news…

You can actually get started in just 10 minutes and day with a budget of a whopping $10.

Sound like something you’d like to know more about?
